Dramatic Drop in School Zone Speeding - November 1, 2011

A study of the efficacy of Optotraffic equipment in four Maryland jurisdictions shows a dramatic reduction in speeding.

The study was carried out by an independent research organization that tracked “before” and “after” speeding in school zones.

One jurisdiction recorded an 895 percent increase in the number of vehicles obeying the speed limit after speed cameras were deployed. To view this article click here.
